Carrie B. Cook started EmpowHERment Inc. in November 2012. She is passionate about helping girls and women reach their full potential as leaders. She has spent her entire professional career working to advance youth civic engagement, economic empowerment, women’s rights and high quality education for all. Carrie is the Vice President of Government Affairs at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. She previously worked for the United States Senate and in K-12 Education Policy, Higher Education Administration and Non-Profit Organization Development. See More

Tiffany Allen, Director
Tiffany manages the day-to-day operations and strategy for EmpowHERment, Incorporated. She joined the EmpowHERment team in 2013 and previously served for six years as Director of The Center for Community Transitions Women’s Transitional Facility program in Charlotte, NC. In addition to leadership in the nonprofit sector, Tiffany worked in the private sector across multiple industries at companies such as PPG Industries and Ingersoll Rand. From her vast corporate experience, she learned the importance of understanding the needs of the client and mastered the art and science of strategic leadership and engaging within cross-functional teams. Tiffany has served as a Big Sister mentor with the Anita Stroud Center and she currently serves on the board for the Family Support Network. She has a passion for service and will use her strong business acumen to help EmpowHERment, Inc. fulfill its mission of empowering girls and women through mentoring, talent development, and advocacy.
Rashaan Peek, Mentor Program Coordinator
Rashaan Peek joined the EmpowHERment Team in January of 2016 as the Mentor Program Coordinator. She oversees the four year EmpowHERment mentorship program for girls beginning in the 9th grade through high school graduation. In this role she leads the mentorship application and matching process, and the monthly talent development curriculum for the girls and women in our leadership academy. She is committed to empowering girls and women and serves on the Board of several organizations including Girls on the Run of Mecklenburg county.
