Volunteer Committee Opportunities
EmpowHERment has several committees that help fulfill our mission. We work hard, have fun and create lifetime connections with amazing women in our community!
*Annual Summit Committee
The EmpowHERment Annual Summit committee is charged with creating a dynamic experience for this event’s attendees. The Annual Summit is the cornerstone of the organization and it is a full day of inspiration and empowerment to hundreds of girls from the greater Charlotte area in grades 6-12. This team plans, designs and executes the details and logistics of the Annual Summit.
*Marketing and Communications
The EmpowHERment Marketing and Communications Committee is tasked with facilitating, developing and organizing the exchange of information between the external and internal groups of the organization. Its goal is to promote EmpowHERment‘s mission through clear and compelling communications vehicles. This team also manages the organizational brand via social media platforms and monthly e-newsletters.
*Fund Development Committee
The EmpowHERment Fund Development Committee is tasked with planning, executing and monitoring the organization’s fundraising development activities. Its goal is to secure the financial resources needed from Corporate and individual sources to fund quality program activities and administrative/operational needs of the organization. The major committee event is the Annual Birthday Fundraiser held in December.
*Events and Logistics
The EmpowHERment Events and Logistics Committee is tasked with identifying and organizing monthly opportunities for the mentors and mentees to connect, learn and share. Its goal is to design and create experiences for the group that supports the mission and model of the organization.
The EmpowHERment Organizational Structure Committee helps provide the organization with intentional and focused actions, strategies and plans to attain internal organizational goals and objectives. Its goal is to support the internal organization infrastructure, including board and volunteer recruitment, for the organization to remain agile, responsive and focused on its mission.
